Frequently Asked Questions

What does "vibe" mean here?

Each vibe maps to one or more of the site's 15 font categories. Bold, Cute, Elegant, Aesthetic, Cool, and Decorated map straight to those categories; Edgy is a shortcut for Gothic plus Viral. Pick any vibes you like — a font shows if it belongs to any of them.

Why are some combinations empty?

Platforms and vibes broaden the results (a font matches if it fits any of them), but the "specific look" checkboxes narrow it — every checked box must match. Asking for serif and monospace at once, or a strict tag on a platform with a small curated set, can leave nothing. Drop a checkbox or add a vibe to widen it again.

Can I filter by character support?

Yes — that is exactly what the "specific look" checkboxes do. They filter on each font's tags (has numbers, serif, sans-serif, monospace, handwritten, minimal, decorative), and because they use AND logic, only fonts carrying every tag you tick are shown.

How do you decide which fonts work on which platform?

We test each style on the real platform and hand-curate the per-platform list rather than guessing from the Unicode block alone. Rendering changes over time, so if you spot a style that breaks somewhere, report it via the contact page and we will recheck it.
